These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BusPass, operated by Teja Naga trading as BusPass ("BusPass", "we", "us") from Ireland. By using the BusPass app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
BusPass is a real-time public transit companion for Ireland. It shows live departure times, lets you save your favourite stops and routes, and provides journey tracking — all using publicly available data from Transport for Ireland (TFI).
BusPass is currently in invite-only beta. Access is granted via invite codes issued by BusPass directly.
BusPass offers a free tier that includes core transit features: live departure times, stop search, and basic favourites. Certain features require a paid subscription:
The free tier will always exist. We will not remove core transit functionality behind a paywall.
Available to students at recognised Irish third-level institutions. Eligibility is verified by your college email address (e.g. @ucd.ie, @tcd.ie, @dcu.ie).
If your student email expires or you are no longer enrolled, your plan will continue until the end of the current billing period and will not auto-renew at the student rate. You must not use a student email you are not entitled to — misuse will result in account suspension.
Free access is available to users with a disability, provided via a unique access code issued through participating disability offices or directly by BusPass. Access codes:
During the beta period, BusPass access is granted via invite codes. Each code:
Payments are processed securely by Mollie, a licensed payment service provider. BusPass does not store your card details. By subscribing, you authorise Mollie to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
14-day cooling-off right: Under EU consumer law, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel an annual subscription and receive a full refund, no questions asked.
After the 14-day period, refunds for annual plans are calculated as:
Refund = (Annual price ÷ 12) × complete months remaining
Monthly plans are not eligible for refunds once a billing period has started. To request a refund, email hello@buspass.ie with your account email and purchase date.
You agree not to:
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
BusPass displays real-time data from Transport for Ireland (TFI). While we do our best to show accurate information, departure times may differ from reality due to disruptions, technical issues, or data delays outside our control. Do not rely solely on BusPass for time-sensitive travel decisions. Always allow buffer time for your journey.
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, TFI data outages, or infrastructure issues may cause downtime. We are not liable for missed connections or travel disruptions caused by service unavailability.
The BusPass name, logo, app design, and all original content are owned by BusPass. Transit data is sourced from Transport for Ireland under their open data licence. You may not use our branding without written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, BusPass is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to BusPass in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as an EU consumer.
